Anthony Ewen
Filey, England
2004

The hills stand as sentinels to the past
Guards over the history of our souls
For when time passes and men become names
They stand in respect to their chronicles

A nation we stand once again
Yet to the hills we must always look
For there the past is written
For the future to be judged

Pride and resoluteness cannot be the only pinnacles to which we pin our colours
They can only be the ground on which we choose to fly our flag

For the hills can only stand resolute
Over a history written by man

A nation once again
One people united
