We are the Scotsmen, we are young and old
Sailed the world our stories told
Shared our honours, and set lands free
That's made a life for you and me.
We have a country where the grass is green,
The purple heather a romantic scene,
The snowy gowans on the roadsides bare,
The pheasant flies in the autumn air.
We are the Scotsmen from a land that's ours,
Trees of Pine, smell like the summer flowers.
We are the Scots and we know our place,
Freedom calls throughout the land with grace.
