We Jinked Abit Like Archie Did ©

Robbie Kennedy Bennett
Wolverhampton, England
2006

Went up tae Largs for th' Big Five O,
Tae th' bookies we decided tae go.
One cam haem then four an' five,
It sure felt great tae be alive.

We jinked abit like Archie did,
Dutch defenders waur a teapot lid.
We jumped aroond an' sung an' pranced,
We swung an' swayed like Archie danced.

All th' week we did celebrate,
We lived like Lairds it sure felt great.
Waur it skill or waur we lucky?
When five cam haem an' we bet th' bookie.

We jinked abit like Archie did,
Dutch defenders waur a teapot lid.
We jumped aroond an' sung an' pranced,
We swung an' swayed like Archie danced.

Since 'at day I've nae won much,
Have I lost th' knack, have I lost th' touch?
C'mon Archie is today th' day?
Tae th' bookie shall I make my way?

We jinked abit like Archie did,
Dutch defenders waur a teapot lid.
We jumped aroond and sung an' pranced,
We swung an' swayed like Archie danced.
