When Aaron Came ©

A DAY IN HISTORY - 25 March

Robbie Kennedy Bennett
Wolverhampton, England
2007

When Aaron came,
He shared this day with a gallant name.

When Aaron came,
This eventful day enlightened the way,
For Robert the Bruce's reign.

Welcome to the world bairn Aaron,
On a day that's significant in Scotland's past.
Your wee bit of Scottish genes are patterned and cast.

When Aaron came,
Summertime was born in the early hours,
As we were told his name.

When Aaron came,
He arrived on a momentous day,
His strength will teach us in everyway.
Climb the highest mountain,
Find the Stone of Scone or Destiny,
His wee bit of Scottish ways inside will be.

Welcome to the world bairn Aaron,
Joy into lives he'll bring.
Born on a day when Robert the Bruce became King.
