WINGS OF LOVE ©

Bryon D. Howell
Connecticut, USA
2006

Pretend this is the only chance we've got
to reach up to the moon and touch the sky.
We would be fools to pass up this last shot
and I believe our love could make us fly.
The stars above would surely guide our way.
I truly don't see how we could go wrong -
and as we soar we'd chase the light of day -
prove to the world we're right where we belong.
With your love in my heart we'd be secure -
flying through the air without a sound.
We'd never know a love so deep and true.
It's such a shame we're still here on the ground.
Tonight may be the only chance we'll get -
let's fly so we don't wallow in regret.
