If this box were magic and I could say,
turn back the clock to yesterday.
Youth and folly go hand in hand,
but oh, we were such a happy band.
We paddled and laughed down by the sea,
then tired and content retired for tea.
The darkness came and we went to sleep,
I prayed the Lord my soul to keep.
Christmas Day I remember well,
on the tree a fairy, also a bell.
But they failed to tell me just one thing,
of tomorrow and what it would bring.
