Cooperative Apple ©

John Bearcat-Redmond
Fife, Scotland
1955

This was sung when I was a wee laddie. It was just one of those songs we kids just threw together. Sing it to the tune of 'I Love a Lassie'.

I love an apple,
a Cooperative apple
You could tell it's Cooperative by the smell
When you cut it in the middle
you could see the maggots wriggle
Mary ma Scots Bluebell
