Who are the Scots?

John Knox
(1505 - 1572)
Was a cleric and father of the Protestant Reformation in Scotland. As a result of his preachings, the Roman Catholic church was replaced by the Presbyterian Church of Scotland, which was derived from the teachings of John Calvin. Mary Queen of Scots, who was catholic, bitterly opposed Knox and all that he stood for.
